As of 2005, the population of Parker was 41,600 people up from only 285 when it was incorporated in 1981. Based on historical growth rates, Parker is expected to reach 52,200 people in 2010 and 71,500 by 2030.

Parker also has several unincorporated areas outside the town boundaries. If people in these locations are included, there are over 70,000 people in the Greater Parker area. It is expected that the Greater Parker area will eventually approach 150,000 people.

Parker residents are typically upper middle class citizens with an average income that is higher than the Denver Metro area. A majority of citizens (75%) are married, and most have at least some college education (83%).

Size

When Parker was incorporated in 1981, it covered approximately one square mile. As of 2005, the town covered 18.8 square miles.
